Choose your preferred LLM

Your preferred LLM is the AI provider that writes long-form content in CoSchedule. You can choose CoSchedule Default, OpenAI, Anthropic or Microsoft Copilot. Available on Starter, Professional and Suite. Copilot is available on Suite.

What the setting changes

The setting applies to the calendar you're in. It changes the provider for:

  • Content Smart Editor generates in the document.
  • Long-form content from the AI Project Assistant attachment in a project, such as a blog post you ask it to write.

Other AI responses in CoSchedule don't use this setting, such as images, chat messages and social messages.

Set your preferred LLM

  1. From your calendar, open Settings.
  2. Click AI Settings.
  3. Under Preferred LLM Provider, choose a provider. Your choice saves as soon as you pick it.

The options are CoSchedule Default, OpenAI and Anthropic, plus a Copilot | [account] option, marked Beta, for each eligible Microsoft account (see below). CoSchedule Default uses CoSchedule's own default model, and it's what CoSchedule uses until you choose another provider.

Owners, Managers and Admins can change this setting.

Use Microsoft Copilot

Copilot works on behalf of a Microsoft account, so each connected, eligible Microsoft account gets its own option in the list, shown as Copilot | followed by the account name. The Microsoft account also needs a Microsoft Copilot license. Copilot isn't available for personal Microsoft accounts. It needs a work or school account.

  1. Connect a work or school Microsoft account through CoSchedule's OneDrive integration. See Use OneDrive and Microsoft 365 with CoSchedule.
  2. From your calendar, open Settings.
  3. Click AI Settings.
  4. Under Preferred LLM Provider, choose Copilot | followed by that account's name.

With Copilot selected, Copilot has read-only access to these Microsoft 365 services for that account:

  • SharePoint sites
  • Emails
  • People lists
  • Online meeting transcripts
  • One-to-one and group chats in Microsoft Teams
  • Messages in Teams channels, such as "general" or "announcements"
  • External items imported into Microsoft Graph connectors or Microsoft Search
  • OneDrive files
