Use Headline Studio

Headline Studio scores your headlines and uses AI to suggest new ones. It's a separate product from your CoSchedule calendar, with its own login, and it works on every Headline Studio plan: Free, Basic and Premium.

Generate and analyze your first headline free

  1. Sign up for a free account at coschedule.com/headline-studio, or log in at headlines.coschedule.com.
  2. If setup asks for a company URL and you don't have one, click I don't have a company URL, then Take me to Headline Studio.
  3. Click Generate in the sidebar menu, type a topic, and click Generate.
  4. Click Analyze next to a headline you like to see its score.

The Free plan gives you 10 credits a month. Each Analyze, Reanalyze and Generate uses 1 credit. Your credit count shows at the top right; hover over it to see when your credits reset. How credits work explains the rest.

The free headline analyzer on coschedule.com shows a preview of your score. To see the full report, log in with a free Headline Studio account.

Analyze a headline

  1. Click Analyze in the sidebar menu.
  2. Type your headline into the headline field. Headlines can be up to 255 characters.
  3. Select a channel.
  4. Click Analyze.
  5. Use the Headline Score tab, and on Premium the SEO Score and Headline AI tabs, to improve your headline.

Reanalyze and see version history

  1. To score a new version, type your changes into the headline field and click Reanalyze.
  2. To score a headline that Headline AI suggested, click its Reanalyze icon.
  3. To see every version of a headline, click See Version History. Starred versions appear at the top of the list.

Generate headline ideas

Generate suggests headlines with AI based on your topic, audience and tone. CoSchedule support can't write headlines for you, so Generate is the quickest way to get ideas.

  1. Click Generate in the sidebar menu.
  2. Type your topics or keywords into the topic field and select a channel.
  3. To add your target audience or your brand's tone of voice, click to show the optional fields and fill them in.
  4. Click Generate.
  5. Review the headlines, analysis and related topics. Click Analyze on any headline to score it.
