Use the Headline Studio browser extension

The Headline Studio browser extension lets you score headlines wherever you write them, using the features of your Headline Studio plan. It works in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

This is a different extension from the CoSchedule Chrome extension, which creates social messages from pages you read. For that one, see Use the CoSchedule Chrome extension.

Before you start

You need a Headline Studio account that has finished setup. Log in at headlines.coschedule.com once and complete the setup steps before you sign in to the extension. If you don't have an account yet, see Use Headline Studio.

Install the extension

  1. Go to coschedule.com/headline-studio/browser-extension and install the extension for your browser.
  2. Click the Headline Studio extension button and sign in with your Headline Studio account.

Analyze a headline with the extension

Google Docs

  1. Click the Headline Studio button in the right sidebar of your Google Doc.
  2. Type your headline into the headline field in the extension.
  3. Click Analyze.

YouTube

  1. Type your headline into the title field of your YouTube video.
  2. Click the Headline Studio button to see your score.

Any other site

  1. Click the Headline Studio extension button on the page where you're writing.
  2. Type your headline into the headline field in the extension.
  3. Click Analyze.

In WordPress, use the Headline Studio WordPress plugin instead. It scores the post title right in the editor.

To close the extension, click the X in its upper right corner.

If the extension asks you to sign in and does nothing

  1. Log in at headlines.coschedule.com and finish setup if you haven't.
  2. Log out at headlines.coschedule.com/logout and at accounts.coschedule.com/logout.
  3. Remove the extension from your browser, then install it again from coschedule.com/headline-studio/browser-extension.
  4. Sign in to the extension again.

You can keep using Headline Studio at headlines.coschedule.com while you sort it out.

Unpin or turn off the extension

If you don't want the extension on your toolbar, unpin it or turn it off in your browser's extension settings. Your browser's help explains how: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
