Instead of being text-based, GUI is visually based, which makes using software easier. Using objects like icons and cursors allows a person to use a computer without having to know the specific commands.
When the user interacts with the graphic, it can change visibility, color, or size. It then can bring them to wherever they want, based on what they clicked on. GUI is user friendly and has many different elements to it. Those include:
- Buttons
- Menus
- Ribbons
- Tabs
- Toolbars
- Windows
Using a mouse pointer, touch screen, or trackpad, users are able to click on page elements in order to execute tasks without manually entering commands.
