Potential customers become leads when they:

  • Ask To Talk To A Consultant
  • Attend An Event
  • Schedule A Demo
  • Subscribe To An Email List

Marketing and sales teams must work together in order to determine if the lead is worth pursuing.

They do this by looking at those who expressed the most interest in making a purchase. These people may also express interest in meeting with a salesperson to discuss options.

By determining which leads are most likely to make a purchase, you can use your resources more wisely.

This graphic from StableWP shows how leads are generated online. It displays the process of attracting leads and turning them into paying customers.
