Remarketing works by collecting the information of users to send emails or paid ads. It’s an effective way to target people who have already shown interest in your company.

While remarketing and retargeting are often used interchangeably, there is a difference in strategy. Retargeting is mostly about serving ads to prospects based on cookies, whereas remarketing is usually based on email.

Examples of Remarketing:

  • Email a customer to renew a service
  • Email a customer to upsell a service
  • A reminder email for a user to act on something
