If a social report or message shows no data, or less than you expect, work through these checks in order. Social analytics are available on Starter, Professional and Suite.
Check that the network is covered
Analytics cover Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon. The free plan doesn't include social analytics.
Give a new message time
CoSchedule first collects a message's stats 1 hour after it publishes, or 1 day after for X. Until then, and until someone engages with the message, it shows no stats. See View analytics on a social message or campaign for the full schedule.
Allow for the daily update on profile reports
- Social Profile Reports update once a day, after 2 AM UTC.
- When you first connect a profile, CoSchedule fills in the 60 days before you connected it.
- LinkedIn demographic data starts in mid-2025.
Reconnect the profile
Stats stop updating while a profile needs reconnecting, and the days missed in that time aren't filled in later. A profile connected before a network changed the permissions CoSchedule needs also has to be reconnected before its analytics load.
- Check your social profiles for one flagged as needing to reconnect.
- Reconnect it. See Reconnect a social profile.
If several profiles stop updating at once, check the CoSchedule status page.
Check the report's filters
If a report is missing messages, check its date range and filters: Social Profiles, Project Types, Tags and Color Labels. A color label filter leaves out anything without the selected labels, so select every label you want included or remove the filter.
Import posts you published outside CoSchedule
Posts you published directly on a network appear once Social Sync imports them to your calendar. Social Sync doesn't import YouTube posts or posts made directly on a LinkedIn personal profile. See Import past posts with Social Sync.
Read the comparison range correctly
The date range in the upper right of a metric box, such as Views or Interactions, is the previous period. It's the range the percentage change compares against, not the report's own date range.
If the numbers don't match the network
Each network defines its metrics differently and shares less data with outside tools than it shows in its own analytics, so some differences are expected and can't be corrected. See What each analytics metric means.
