Why did I receive this error?
Many times these reports are user-generated, meaning your messages may have been flagged by another user on Facebook. These are usually always a temporary block and should resolve in the next few days.
What should I do to resolve this error?
According to Facebook, if you see an error message saying you're blocked from sending Facebook messages for a certain amount of time, it may be because you sent a lot of messages recently or your messages have been marked as unwelcome. This block is temporary, and you can still use other Facebook features to connect with your Facebook friends while you're in this block. Once your block is over, try to only message people and businesses you know. Make sure to use the name you go by in everyday life to help the people you are messaging recognize you.
How do I prevent this error from happening in the future?
In the future, we recommend checking out
Facebook's Community Standards. Unfortunately, Facebook doesn't give us information for why your social messages are being blocked, but by following their Community Standards, you can make sure that you are following the rules of Facebook to mitigate any chances of suspension in the future.
