Each social network limits how many characters a message can have. The composer shows a character count in the lower right corner as you write, and warns you when the text goes over the limit for a network you selected. Available on Starter, Professional and Suite.

When a message runs over
If the text is longer than a network allows, CoSchedule tries to shorten it so the message still publishes. On Facebook and LinkedIn, @ mentions don't work in a shortened message. To publish your message exactly as you wrote it, keep it within the limit.
Longer posts with X Premium
If your X account has X Premium, you can post up to 25,000 characters once you verify the profile in CoSchedule. To verify it, open the X profile under Settings > Social Profiles and click Update Twitter Verification. See Connect an X (Twitter) account.
