Fix ReQueue messages that are not sending

If ReQueue isn't filling your calendar, or a message from a ReQueue group didn't send, work through these checks in order. ReQueue is available on Starter, Professional and Suite.

Check that ReQueue is turned on

ReQueue doesn't send anything until it's turned on. Go to Settings, then Power Ups. If the ReQueue tile shows Enable ReQueue, click it. See Set up ReQueue and add messages to groups.

Check the group

  • The group's toggle is set to Sending, not Not Sending.
  • The group has messages for the social profile you expect.
  • If the group has custom dates, today falls inside them.
  • Individual Message Sending Limits caps how many times each message can send in a month. Add more messages or raise the limit.

See Manage ReQueue group settings.

Check whether ReQueue is paused

  • For all profiles: in Settings > Power Ups > ReQueue, open the Global Settings tab and look at the Pause ReQueue section. It shows "ReQueue is paused" or "ReQueue is sending".
  • For one profile: in Intelligent Automation Settings, check the profile's toggle under Configure Your Sending Goals.

If ReQueue is paused, click Resume ReQueue. If one profile's toggle is off, turn it back on.

Check whether all social messages are paused

While all social messages are paused, ReQueue messages don't send either. They fail with an error saying the calendar is paused. Ask an Owner, Manager or Admin to resume social messages, then reschedule any messages that were due while sending was paused. See Pause all scheduled social messages.

Your schedule may already be full

ReQueue counts the messages you schedule yourself. If they already meet the sending goal for a profile on a day, ReQueue adds nothing that day. That's expected. ReQueue also schedules only the current week and the next week, so you won't see ReQueue messages further out.

One network keeps getting picked

ReQueue fills each slot with one message for one profile and doesn't balance networks within a group. If a group mixes networks, split it into a separate group for each network.

Messages still show after you stop a group

After you switch a group to Not Sending, its messages can stay on your calendar for a short time before they're cleared. Wait, or delete them from the calendar yourself.

Fix a ReQueue message that failed

A failed ReQueue message shows on your calendar like any other failed social message. CoSchedule makes up to 7 attempts over about 45 minutes before a message shows as failed. For common causes, see Why a social message did not publish.

Image problems

  1. Open the failed message on your calendar.
  2. Open the original message in ReQueue to edit it.
  3. Remove the image.
  4. Upload the image again.
  5. Save the message.

A network blocks a repeated post

A network may block a post that repeats an earlier one. Vary the text and images of messages that are sent often, and add more messages to the group.

Messages to a Facebook Group

Publishing to Facebook Groups ended in April 2024. Archive any ReQueue messages that go to a Facebook Group. See Can CoSchedule publish to Facebook Groups?

"Too far in the past" errors

If you use WordPress and ReQueue messages fail because the time is too far in the past, make sure your WordPress site's timezone matches your calendar's timezone. See Fix WordPress timezone and timestamp problems.

Still not sending?
