Connect a Mastodon account

Connect a Mastodon account to your calendar so you can schedule and publish to it from CoSchedule. Available on Starter, Professional and Suite.

Connect Mastodon from Settings

  1. In CoSchedule, open Settings.
  2. Click the Social Profiles tab.
  3. Click Connect Social Profile.
  4. Select Mastodon.
  5. Select your Mastodon server: mastodon.social, mas.to, mastodon.world, mastodon.online or techhub.social. If yours isn't listed, select Other and type your server's name in the field "Enter a Mastodon server name example.server".
  6. Click Let's Connect. You go to your server's sign-in page.
  7. Log in and give CoSchedule access to your account.
The "Connect Mastodon to CoSchedule" window with the server list, including "Other", highlighted.

If you have accounts on more than one Mastodon server, connect each one as a separate social profile.

If the connection doesn't work

Try the connection again in a private or incognito browser window, or in another browser.

If the account still won't connect, contact support before you remove it from CoSchedule. Removing a profile deletes its messages in CoSchedule.

If an account that was connected stops publishing, see Reconnect a social profile.

Remove a Mastodon account

Removing a profile deletes its scheduled, sent and ReQueue messages and its social template messages in CoSchedule. Posts already published stay on Mastodon.

For the steps, see Add or remove a social profile.
